Every so often, the Ringers add new stuff to the Ice Ocean test server, which is usually available only to current subscribers and mates who meet certain doubloon criteria -- although they may sometimes make exceptions.  This "new stuff" may include things such as a new puzzle or parlor game, proposed changes to an existing puzzle (such as new experimental variants of Treasure Drop), or groundbreaking new functionality (such as blockades or housing).

Instructions for how to access and/or install the Ice Server Test client:

Installation problems, look here (also linked from the link above):

The Ice changelog, covering some of the more recent updates:
http://ice.puzzlepirates.com/docs/changelog.html

If you are having problems getting the Ice test client to run, try uninstalling it and then re-installing it from the link on the Y!PP forums -- especially if you downloaded it more than three months ago and have not updated it recently.  Also, check the change-log above for any "known issues".  And remember that Ice is a test server, and some of the things being tested there are only "alpha-" or "beta-quality" at best, so it may not be as stable as Midnight and the other production oceans, and it the server may freeze up or go off-line from time to time.

This is a general thread about accessing the Ice Ocean.  Discussion about any "new stuff" being tested on ice should go in separate threads.  Thanks.  --Mich
