Ahoy!
I believe everything is ship-shape now, and a test registration that I completed resulted in the activation email being sent.

They appear to be resolved at the moment. However, do not be surprised if it breaks again, as we didn't actually fix the problem- it fixed itself.

Nothing we can do at the moment to fix them. I'm going to see if i can recode the email code, but the breakage occurs for a variety of reasons. First off, it was originally configured to use php sendmail, which was fine and dandy until our host changed the email policy, (no emails from the user 'nobody', which is what sendmail did), which broke email sending permenantly.  The other option SMF provides, SMTP, has a bug and it does not work with the clear-data SMTP service.  I confirmed this in IRC chat with the management of clear-data.  In fact, they have the same issue on their SMF forum, and are awaiting a bugfix from SMF.

So yea, nothing we can do.  However, I'm going to take a look at the code regardless...

Mars deserves lots of <3 for at least figuring out the problem for us!
