Mayflower Fayre 2010: Arts Endeavour

Quote
Sketch the Mayflower

You must design and then sketch the Mayflower.

Consider the following facts when trying to imagine what the Mayflower looks like:
* the Mayflower is, first and foremost, a flower.
* it only flourishes in May.
* it's a piratey flower.
* forget about roses- this is the true flower of live.
* it's nothing like any flower you've ever seen before.

Feel free to picture the Mayflower with fantasy elements to it: levitating petals, luminous stems, anything else your imagination can come up with- it's all fine!

Your entry should match the Mayflower Theme.

You may use any medium you wish to sketch the Mayflower however, your sketch must take the form of a two-dimensional image.

Your image must not exceed 300 by 300 pixels.

Your entry may be a graphic image or a photograph of a two-dimensional piece of art that you have made in real-life. If your entry has been made in real-life, please resize it as above.

You must post your entry as an image in this entry thread before the deadline.

You may enter this Endeavour once only.

Deadline: 11:59:59PM game time on 31st May 2010

Why: "The Winner of this Endeavour will win themselves an item of Animal furniture as well as a Rose trinket in spring colours including white, lemon, rose and peach.

Runners-Up will win themselves Rose trinkets in similar colour ways.

Please include your choice of Animal furniture and your preferred trinket colour in your entry post.

Princesses Mentions may be awarded by Princess Aphrodite accordingly. It is possible that an Aphrodite Doll or Egg may be awarded at this prize level however it should be noted that Princess Aphrodite is under no obligation to do this. She may award more or may award none."

Mayflower Fayre 2010: Crafts Endeavour

Quote
Construct a Floral Shrine

You must make a three-dimensional shrine with a flowery theme- an item that honours or glorifies its subject, which is, flowers.

You may use any three-dimensional objects to construct your shrine- a wooden table, cardboard boxes, mounds of paper, cake mixture- just keep it barely realistic.

Your shrine must be well decorated with anything flowery such as... erm... flowers... You could also use anything colourful, attractive and eye-catching to add to the appeal of your shrine.

Your entry should match the Mayflower Theme.

Your entry must consist of: a photograph displaying all materials used; at least two in-progress pictures; ONE photo of your completed shrine and a picture of your creation next to a ruler or something that gives the judges a sense of scale.

Your start photo, end photo and at least two in-progress photos MUST include a label stating your pirate name and ocean.

Only the one photo of your completed shrine will be judged but you MUST include the other photos for your entry to be validated successfully.

You must post your entry in this entry thread before the deadline. Please post LINKS to the photographs instead of the images themselves.

You may enter this Endeavour once only.

Deadline: 11:59:59PM game time on 31st May 2010

Why:
"The Winner of this Endeavour will win themselves an item of Animal furniture as well as a Lily trinket in bright colours including white, yellow, magenta and orange.

Runners-Up will win themselves Lily trinkets in similar colour ways.

Part of a general determination that:
http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?p=2302272#2302272

Quote from: Apollo
We noticed that with the new colors added to the game, we could give out a different color of familiar every two weeks and not repeat ourselves right through the year! So that's what we plan on doing.

In each two weeks, there will be at least one colored familiar given out - most of these are likely to be tournaments or puzzle competitions. There will be other events included as well. Monkeys will only be used where it's an available color. For parrots, we will match either one or both of the parrot colors to the week's color.
